Export contacts with their consent history
Export your contact list from Interakt (or from Shopify or your CRM if that’s your source of truth), keeping the opt-in source and your opt-out list. Imported contacts keep that history, so the pre-flight check knows who can receive marketing.
Check who owns your WhatsApp assets
In Meta Business Suite, open WhatsApp accounts and confirm the number sits in your own business portfolio. Meta describes the WhatsApp account that holds your number as always owned by the business, while each partner’s templates and billing live in a separate Messaging account.
Connect the same number with Embedded Signup
Start your free trial and connect WhatsApp through Meta’s Embedded Signup. On Meta’s new account model (rolling out from September 23, 2026) you can add Social Intents as a partner on the same number, so Interakt can keep running until you’re ready. On the previous model, ask Interakt to release the number first.
Bring your templates across
Templates belong to the Messaging account they were created in. Meta’s Template Migration API only copies approved templates between accounts your business owns, and copied templates restart with an unknown quality rating. Most teams recreate their handful of templates from our template library and resubmit them.
