How to switch from WhatChimp

Keep your number, your subscribers and their consent. Rebuild only what you use.

  1. Export contacts with consent and opt-outs

Export subscribers from WhatChimp including tags, custom fields and opt-in source. Import opted-out contacts as opted out so they’re never messaged by mistake.

  2. Confirm ownership in Meta Business Suite

Check the WhatsApp account that holds your number is in your business portfolio, and note whether your templates live in a Messaging account your business owns.

  3. Connect your number to Social Intents

Use Embedded Signup from your free trial. Where Meta’s new account model is live, add Social Intents as a second partner on the same number; otherwise, disconnect it from WhatChimp first. Coexistence with the WhatsApp Business app is supported.

  4. Recreate templates and bots

Reuse templates from a business-owned Messaging account, or recreate them from our template library. Train the AI chatbot on your website to replace keyword flows.

  5. Move the team, then cancel

Connect Slack, Teams or Google Chat, invite everyone, send a test broadcast and watch the pre-flight check, then remove WhatChimp’s access.

Frequently asked questions

Fair answers about WhatChimp and Social Intents.

Is Social Intents a good WhatChimp alternative?
It depends on what you need. WhatChimp is cheaper and has more growth features: Click-to-WhatsApp ads, WhatsApp forms, appointment booking and drip-style follow-ups. Social Intents is the better WhatChimp alternative when your team should answer WhatsApp from Slack, Microsoft Teams or Google Chat, when you want unlimited agents from the Basic plan, and when you want consent tooling and quiet hours built into every broadcast.
Is Social Intents an official WhatsApp provider?
Yes. Social Intents is a Meta Tech Provider; you connect your number through Meta’s Embedded Signup and messages go through the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API). Meta bills message fees to your own WhatsApp Business Account.
How does WhatChimp pricing compare with Social Intents?
As of November 2026, WhatChimp’s pricing page shows Basic at $12/month and Pro at $30/month billed yearly with a 50%-off coupon ($24 and $60 before it), $20 and $50 month-to-month, and Enterprise from $119/month billed yearly. Basic includes 2 team members and Pro 5. Social Intents Basic is $69/month billed annually with unlimited agents. For teams of up to five, WhatChimp costs less; check whatchimp.com for current prices.
Both say 0% markup. Is there any difference in message costs?
Not in principle. WhatChimp says it adds nothing to Meta’s fees, and with Social Intents Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business Account directly. Your per-message cost should be Meta’s published rate either way, so compare the plan fee, seats and features instead.
Can I switch from WhatChimp and keep my WhatsApp number?
Yes. On Meta’s new account model, rolling out from September 23, 2026, the WhatsApp account that holds your number belongs to your business and can be shared with more than one partner, so you can connect Social Intents with Embedded Signup and test before you cancel. On the previous model, disconnect the number from WhatChimp first. Templates in a WhatChimp-owned Messaging account need to be recreated; ones in an account your business owns can be reused.
Will my WhatsApp number get banned?
Using the official API doesn’t make a number ban-proof on any platform. Meta restricts numbers for policy violations and low quality ratings, usually after people block or report messages they didn’t ask for. Social Intents reduces that risk with opt-in evidence, automatic opt-outs, quiet hours, a frequency guard and monthly limits set below your Meta messaging tier.
Does Social Intents support Click-to-WhatsApp ads or WhatsApp Flows?
No. If those are central to your funnel, WhatChimp or another provider is a better fit today. Social Intents focuses on answering conversations as a team, AI chatbots, consent-aware broadcasts and SMS fallback.
¿Hay una prueba gratuita?
Yes. Social Intents has a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. WhatChimp’s documentation describes a 7-day free trial.
